About Moniker:
If you never saw the first version (quite possible, it was only released a few weeks before this version), let me tell you that Moniker is a program that allows one to make aliases via a drop-and-drag interface. Simply drag ANYTHING onto Moniker 2.0's icon (the big circle with the letter 'A', for alias) and you will be prompted for the desired name(s) and location(s) of your alias(es).
Moniker 2.0 is the first (and probably last) version I shall write. Version 2.0 corrects a flaw in the previous version - you could only make aliases of documents and applications, not folders or disks (bummer). I have fixed this in the new version by recoding Moniker to support System 7's implementation of Apple Events (source code is included).
Moniker 2.0 is freeware. You may distribute it as much (or as little) as you desire. All I ask is for you to give me credit if you make your own program based on Moniker 2.0 and that you ask my permission before selling Moniker 2.0 (or any program which uses my code) for a profit.
Programmer's Notes:
The source code included in this package is in THINK C 5.0 format. This code shows how I used System 7 features such as Apple Events and the Alias Manager to make Moniker 2.0 tick. To compile the source code you will need to #include the appropriate header files. I used a precompiled header that was too large to include in this package.
